I am a first generation Mexican-American born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I moved to the Houston area over 30 years ago to go to college and law school. I am a single parent to 3 children (a 23 year old boy and twin 16 year old daughters). I have been an attorney, currently serving for over 20 years as Assistant General Counsel at Aldine ISD, one of the largest urban school districts Texas. In my position as Assistant General Counsel I manage and oversee the litigation/collection of delinquent property taxes. Aldine ISD is unique because we are the only school district in Texas that manages it’s own property tax litigation. I am running for Harris County Tax Assessor Collector-Voter Registrar in the November 2024 General Election.
